Bio: Matt was born and raised in Kelseyville and has lived in Sonoma County for more than 20 years. Matt is married and has two kids that attend school in Windsor.

Educational Background: Matt obtained his Firefighter I from the College of the Siskiyous, Paramedic from the Santa Rosa Junior College, AA/AS from the Santa Rosa Junior College, BA from Sonoma State University and Executive Fire Officer fromt he National Fire Academy (US Fire Administration).

Career History: Matt started as a Volunteer and seasonal Firefighter in Kelseyville in 1996 and continued his education in Fire, EMS, and general studies at various community colleges and universities. Matt attended the SRJC Paramedic program when it was held at the Two Rock Coast Guard training center. Matt started as a career Firefighter/Paramedic with the San Rafael Fire Department in 2001 and worked his way through the ranks to the position of Battalion Chief. Matt started with Sonoma County Fire District in 2022 as Division Chief-EMS.
